Village Tart Opens in Little Italy

“Sweet and savory.” Says it right there on the website - I’m sold. This little just-opened gem, conceptualized by Lesly (!) Bernard of Permanent Brunch, and James Beard Award-winning Pichet Ong of P’ong (and of many-a Jean-Georges restauarants), I’m positive I will like this place and I really hope it does well. A closer look at the menu reveals they pay off the sweet and savory claim, with goodies like:

- Bacon-wrapped dates (Snacks)

- Curried chicken samosa with grapes and pine nuts (Tarts)

- Kabocha and coconut soup, with cinnamon (Soups)

- Short ribs in apple cider (Large plates)

- Olive Oil madelines (Bakery menu)

- Vientnamese coffee gelato (Bakery menu)

See!? Sweet AND savory! And they have Lassis! Sassy Lassis! And really good coffee! And Alfajores! I’m so excited. Check out the full menu below. See you there this weekend, winners.
