Malted Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies
Yet another winner from The Pioneer Woman! Bake these and I dare you to try and eat just one… especially if you do what I did and double the recipe, ending up with 75 not-so-small cookies covering literally every square inch of our kitchen countertop while they cooled. Which made the apartment smell like one giant cookie.I’m especially loving how thin these cookies are, and the texture can’t be beat - firm/slightly crisp around the edge, and chewy in the middle. But don’t let the thinness fool you - while that creates a somewhat delicate quality, these pack a major rich and sweet punch thanks to more butter and sugar than I care to really think about, but as a result they practically melt in your mouth.
Perfect with ice cold milk, or a hot cup of just about anything - more so the latter, at least right now, as it is frigid here in the city! How I spent four winters in Vermont in college relatively unphased by the weather is slightly baffling.
I’ve been dying to try these, but I could never find the malted powdered milk required! Where’d you find it in NYC, Sarah? xox
