Hecho en Dumbo’s Chef’s Table last night was amazing and a total surprise.
It’s listed as four courses for $55, but what they don’t tell you is that it’s sprinkled with delicious, edgy additions like fluke ceviche, grilled sweetbreads with refritos, and a trio of tacos that contained bone marrow, chorizo, and a bunch of other amazing stuff. It was so much fun to sip our drinks and watch the cooks do their thing. They were also incredibly understanding about my (new and tragic) shellfish allergy, and let me replace a lobster course with any item on the regular menu I wanted. Classy!
Go there now and be shocked and delighted like I was! A new favorite.

Catfish sandwich from Num Pang, plus their amazing corn. Similar to elote, but they put coconut on it instead of queso fresco. It’s crazy good.
