Del Posto Gets Four Stars →
Knowing about Mario Batali’s partying habits, I think I can all safely say that wherever he and Joe Bastianich are celebrating right now, is probably the best place in all of New York City to be tonight. Click here to read my old review on Del Posto, which was done the year the restaurant was actually stripped of its Michelin star, setting off a flurry of changes to the dining room and...

Currently making a variation of Thomas Keller’s Crispy Braised Chicken Thighs with olives, lemon and fennel. By variation, I mean, might really be weird. I bought leeks instead of fennel, and a whole chicken cut up instead of thighs, so there’s teeny bones everywhere. Goddd. The form, the DBB-N, or Notice to Tenant: Disclosure of Bedbug Infestation history, is to be signed by a...

Jeffrey Steingarten on Eataly →
Interesting take on Eataly. I have to say, I wondered the same thing about the staff. Same with the sheer volume of product they seem to have in this place. Am I crazy to wonder if it will all sell and turn over at a profitable enough rate? That said, I’ll do my best to keep it in business when I stop by next week!
